The fabric is quite soft, very soft indeed. It has a cotton reinforcement inside right where the intimate area is. I don’t like how it looks on the outside of the intimate area at all, because I bought similar ones and since the pattern isn’t fully sewn in, it peels off. The side strings are sewn on very well and are very reinforced
